The Korean tech giant LG has officially launched the G3 Beat smartphone in India for Rs 25,000.

The phone was already available to pre-order on Infibeam since last week. It was originally announced in July this year as a stripped-down variant of the LG G3 (review) flagship, which was launched in India for a starting price of Rs 47,990. The LG G3 Beat comes with the same “floating arc metallic” design like its flagship sibling.

For a recap on the specs, the LG G3 Beat flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi. The processor ticking under the hood is a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, further supported by 1GB of RAM and a 2,540mAh battery. It offers 8GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot to add more. For shooting shenanigans, the device packs an 8MP primary camera with laser autofocus on the back and a 1.3MP front shooter. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB 2.0 and A-GPS. It is offered in metallic black, silk white and shine gold hues.

The G3 Beat runs Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with a handful of software tweaks like Touch & Shoot, Smart Keyboard, Quick Memo+, Gesture Shot and Knock Code.

LG is also expected to launch the G3 Stylus in the Indian market very soon. It's a mid-range 5.5-inch phablet with a Rubberdium stylus, targeted at consumers in emerging markets.
